BELL & FOUNTAIN PROJECT
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL 2023
Dear HPR Friends
The Executive Council 2023 has launched a project this year with the aim of leaving a legacy by promoting the traditions and culture of our school.
The project in mind is the construction of a bell and fountain adjacent to the new school hall. The purpose of the bell is to create a new ceremony. The Grade 8s of each year will ring the bell to symbolise the beginning of their high school career. The bell will be rung again on the Grade 12s last day to sound the end of their school years.
As we wish to initiate this tradition in 2023, construction has already started. To fund this project, we are offering 25 individuals and companies an opportunity to contribute with a sponsorship of R5000.00 each. The sponsor’s name will be engraved on a commemorative plaque which will be displayed at the fountain area.
We appeal to you for your support, as this tradition will be to the benefit of Piet Retief High School.
